Tree Trimming

We hired Jake and his team to take down some trees on our property to put in a new driveway. They communicated clearly with us from the start to finish. The team has a lot of knowledge and took the time to answer questions we had -- even ones unrelated to the project we hired them for. They were also mindful that we have a business that had to stay open while they were working. They were nothing but professional to deal. We loved having them here and will definitely use them again.

I could not be happier with the job that Jake and his crew did at removing and topping some giant trees from my backyard. I had some very large trees that I had wanted to get taken down for years but always thought it would be too expensive. Not only was Jake’s price fantastic the work they did was top notch. The entire process from the time I got my free estimate until the crew arrived was only a few short weeks. The crew exceeded my expectations and left my yard almost spotless. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for reliable tree service.

9/10/2025- Jake and his crew removed seven trees and stumps for a more than reasonable price. They did three difficult removals of large trees on the property line carefully so there was no damage to neighbors' fences. They did a great job. Tom M.- McCandless Twp.

JJ is hands down the best tree guy around! I’ve got 10 acres and constantly deal with fallen trees—JJ responded the same day and had everything taken care of by the next. I’ve used him repeatedly, and he’s consistently the best—quick, reasonably priced, and always leaves the site spotless. In and out in just a few hours. Highly recommend!!

I just had this company at my house to cut down a large maple tree and 3 dogwood trees. Before they came I was really nervous about them cutting down the big oak tree. They reassured me and even showed me their certificate of insurance when I asked for it. They did a great job and cleaned up everything. They are super nice guys and very competent! I would definitely hire them again! And their price was reasonable!

5 stars isn’t even enough to grade Jake. What a fantastic guy with fantastic service and price! We had some major tree damage from a storm and Jake went above and beyond what was quoted to make sure our yard was nice and clear. I would recommend him to anyone looking! Won’t find anyone better. I couldn't have asked for anything better! Jake really went above and beyond when a tree came down and rested on our roof from the storm on April 29, 2025. I was having difficulty getting someone to come see the job because everyone was getting slammed with calls. I filled out the on line request for service and received a text from Jake the same day! He asked me to send him some pictures. The next morning he called me and talked more about the job. He said he would be out that day. To my surprise, he showed up and did the job right then and there! It was a huge tree that was hanging over a cousa dogwood that I hated to see get damaged. I pointed it out to Jake, and he said he would do his best not to hurt it. When he came down from the roof and started working on the part that was over the dogwood, he handled it with such care! When all was said and done, my dogwood was saved, and is now in full bloom! It was wonderful to have such a pleasant, talented young man do such a great job! I would recommend him to anyone. Jake was a LIFESAVER! Last weeks storm caused a tree to fall on our house. Jake answered my call and was at our house the same day to assess the damage. Tree was removed promptly. He was great to work with, very kind and knowledgeable! Highly recommend him!!

Total process from start to finish was 20 days. Jake and my husband met and discussed the project and he provided the electronic quote within 12 hours. After our approval of quote the job was scheduled. Jake and his crew showed up mid-morning on our scheduled day and spent several hours pruning our giant sycamore trees. The job met our expectations and his crew took time to meticulously clean up debris. We were more than satisfied with his service.

Highly recommend JJ's Tree Service. They came out on a Sunday evening shortly after we submitted a request for an estimate for the removal of a large dead pine tree on a steep hillside. Upon inspection, he observed that the tree was in danger of falling and told us that he could be out the next morning to remove. The crew arrived on time and quickly and efficiently removed the tree. I was shocked at how reasonable the cost was given the immediacy of the situation. Both myself and my neighbor are breathing much easier this morning. JJ's is definitely my go to contact for anything tree related!

JJ Tree Service is awesome!! We had two trees fall (one in the alleyway behind our house and one in our yard) and they came very quickly the day it happened to look at the job and came NEXT DAY for cleanup. If you have trees that need taken down Jake is your Guy! He came over got to work ,and with in 20 mins had the 1st of 4 trees down. Half a day and it was all gone. He did everything I wanted and more. Great pricing Fast service! Highly Recommend!

During a recent storm, I had a tree fall and pull an electrical line down. I figured it would take days if I was lucky to get someone to come out due to the amount of damage this storm left. To my surprise I called JJ Tree Service and was answered in a ring or too. I couldn’t believe it. I expected to leave a message and hopefully get a return call within 24 hours. Not only did I speak to someone, JJ Tree Service came out that night and cut the tree down and handled my problem 3 hours after it fell! Who does that in today’s world! I will now use this company for all tree removal and maintenance. I have a lot of trees around my house and throughout the years have had bad stories from other tree removal companies. After this interaction and fair service JJ Tree Service will be my go forward. I cannot thank you enough for the service! Amazing! I recommend this company.

Jake did an amazing job removing trees from our property that were damaging our gutters and roof. His price is very reasonable. He is fast and efficient and removes all debris when finished.
